BLUE OCEAN SANGHA
We are a lay Buddhist community that practices the art of mindful living by following the teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
As the third jewel of Buddhism, Sanghas offer a deep well of support and wisdom. At Blue Ocean Sangha we provide a resource for the study and practice of applied Buddhism, which means that we apply Buddhist teachings to our daily lives in order to learn to be peaceful and not allow life to drift away without meaning.
People of all faiths are welcomed and, in fact, encouraged to continue practicing in their root spiritual traditions if they so desire.
Every Sunday 6 - 8 pm
In coming together and practicing with others regularly, we are rejuvenated in our own personal practice but we also help build a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood amongst each other and thus help move our society in the direction of collective awakening.
DAY OF MINDFULNESS
Days of Mindfulness will be announced 2-3 weeks in advance via email, on our website, or Facebook page.
Regular Schedule: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm.
Blue Ocean Sangha hosts Days of Mindfulness throughout the year where we come together to restore and nourish ourselves and our practice. We explore a particular theme that arises from our study of one of the Buddha’s teachings.
